Queerlombo is a group based in Araraquara, one of the smaller cities in the state of São Paulo. They promote LGBTQIA+ visibility.
The LGBTQIA+ community in rural cities in the state of São Paulo lacks cohesion and is also dealing with internal struggles. This isn’t helpful, as this community also faces discrimination, violence and oppression.
With our grant, Queerlombo can organize multiple workshops in the cities of Araraquara, Avaré, and Itapetininga. These workshops aim to inform the wider LGBTQIA+ community, increase mutual understanding, as well as community cohesion and include topics such as asexuality, intersexuality, intersectionality within the community, and much more.
