Pelangi Campaign is a Malaysian LGBTQ advocacy collective. They focus on advancing LGBTQ rights through public engagement and workshops.
In Malaysia, living conditions for LGBTQ people are dire, to put it mildly. In the past, police and government officials raided a nightclub in the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Also, a lesbian couple was caught having sex in a car. They were sentenced to caning (flogging) by a Sharia (Islamic religious) court.
Pelangi Campaign tries to assist people in case of emergencies, but they are lacking an emergency shelter where community members can find refuge. We fund Pelangi Campaign, so they can set up such a shelter facility. Additionally, several services will be offered, such as counseling and legal support.
