Društvo Informacijski Center LEGEBITRA evolved from a voluntary LGBT youth and student organization which was initiated at the University of Ljubljana in 1998.
Their activities include providing safe space, information and lobbying and advocacy. Through these activities they strive to educate and raise awareness and actively influence the process of social inclusion of LGBT people in Slovenian society.
On the Edge 2 focuses on young people in their school environment and youth centers. The main goal of this project is to reduce the negative consequences of lack of discussion about human rights of LGBTQ+ people by informing, educating and empowering youth, especially those living in non-urban areas.
This will hopefully decrease homophobia, prejudice against and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people. LEGEBITRA will organize a total of 40 human rights workshops and other educational activities.
