Stowarzyszenie Miłość Nie Wyklucza (Love Does Not Exclude Association) aims to support, build and strengthen the LGBT+ community in Poland, focusing on the consequences related to the lack of legal recognition of same-sex couples, as well as legal and lobbying practices, which may bring both social and political change.
In Poland, youth in schools are particularly exposed to homophobia and transphobia. There are no state-run programs for schools addressing LGBT+ issues. Also, access to reliable information about sexuality, gender identity and sexual orientation is very limited.
With PlanetRomeo Foundation support, Love Does Not Exclude Association will create a tailor-made, comprehensive educational and information kit in order to raise awareness about LGBT+ issues and to help create a safer environment for LGBT+ youth. The kit will consist of several elements: informational booklets covering various subjects on LGBT+ issues, Q&A sheets, gadgets and buttons. Additionally, they will launch a dedicated web page on mnw.org.pl as well as a Facebook campaign in support of the edu-kit.
Project results so far
- Consultations regarding the concept of the Rainbow EduKit was held with members of the target group, i.e. high school students.
- Visual and textual content of the kit was developed, as well as posters and booklets.
- All material of the kit, including the Guide on Marriage Equality was printed.
- Promotional activities and distribution are currently being prepared and organized in the following cities:
- Torún;
- Kielce;
- Poznań;
- Warsaw;
- Krakow;
- Wroclaw.
