CAIDS León is an organization from León, Mexico. They focus on protecting human, sexual, and reproductive rights of women and LGBTTIQ people. They do this from a youth and feminist perspective.
Soccer playing LBT women in Mexico face double discrimination due to their identity as a woman, as well as identifying as LBT. Because of these issues, there is an urgent need for creating spaces where LBT women in sport are visible.
Our funding enables CAIDS León to organize an LBT football tournament for up to 16 teams. In addition to the soccer tournament, each team receives a workshop to raise awareness on human rights and non-discrimination.
