San Julian Pride Advocacy Group is an LGBT organization from the Philippines. They promote unity and mutual support within the LGBT community.
In Eastern Samar, the hometown of San Julian Pride, LGBT people face poverty, discrimination, as well as marginalization. The community is not organized and thus also lacks a strong movement.
By training and creating a volleyball team in Eastern Samar, San Julian Pride tries to stimulate community members to get involved with their local community movement. A three-day peer education training on human rights and SOGIE is also part of the project’s activities. This helps to create a snowball effect, as these people will train and engage other community members.
